Adults will be 2, 3 minute rounds, stop for point count. There will be no Jr. Sparring. Competitors will wear a clear-faced head gear ( provided), chest protection, boxing gloves minimum (12 oz. some provided), shin and instep pads (due to the cage headgear, kicking boots are strongly recommended ), and a mouth guard are required to compete. Male competitors must wear a groin cup. Elbow pads are strongly recommended. Some pads will be provided, but please bring your own if you have them.
If there is enough interest we will have a seniors division and a 3rd Dan and up division. These rules allow for full contact blows to the head & body with both the hand and foot. No elbows, knees, headbutting or TURNING backfists allowed. Sweeping to the legs must be accomplished with the legs only and immediately followed by a strike before the opponent reaches the ground.
This is not a knock-out competition. Controlled contact will be enforced.
